General description
Native urokinase from human urine. A thrombolytic agent that converts plasminogen to plasmin. A mixture of high molecular weight (54 kDa) and low molecular weight (33 kDa) urokinase.
Note: 1 unit = 1 CTA unit = 0.7 Ploug units. 1 KU = 1000 units.

Preparation Note
Prepared from urine of individuals that have been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.
Reconstitution
Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-70°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 6 months at -70°C.
